Understand cart lifetimes, artwork storage and cleanup.

Expiry and retention

This deployment creates carts with a 168-hour lifetime from creation, including validation time. Always use the returned expires_at. New payment sessions cannot be started with less than 32 minutes left. Expired unpaid and failed carts are queued for cleanup; outstanding payment attempts are reconciled before deletion. Paid files remain for production, then for 30 days after shipment or cancellation, with recorded legal holds respected. These are file-retention rules; metadata and hashes remain.
